Make Red Poppies for Memorial Day

Written by: | Published: May 21, 2020 | Updated: January 16, 2023

I have a quick PNG cut file of a Red Poppy you can make for Memorial Day. It’s a basic Print and cut design that you can use with your Cricut. I drew this image back in 2005. Year after year I pull it out to share in one way or another.

“We cherish too, the Poppy red that grows on fields where valor led, it seems to signal to the skies that blood of heroes never dies.“

Make Your Own Red Poppy for Memorial Day

This quick and easy to make red poppy is perfect for Memorial Day. Just upload the PNG file to your Cricut Design Space account, print and then cut. You can use the art to make a wall decor piece, decorate your Memorial Day table or even to wear as a little pin for the day. Make sure you select “complex” for image type when uploading to Design Space so you keep all the color variations in the design.

I originally designed this image back in 2005 and offered it as part of my shop on Cafepress. You can buy it on t-shirts, posters, mugs and other products. As I was thinking of what to create and share this year, I thought I’d pull this red poppy from the archives and see what I could make with it.

I realized it would make an easy to create cut file, so the project was a breeze! I simply printed and then cut the design and used as-is. You could make a whole bunch of poppies to create a really special art piece or memorial display.

If you create with this image, I’d love to see it! Share on social media with “jengoodeart” or tag me @jgoodedesigns.
