Kids Crafts and Activities with Kiwi Crate

Written by: | Published: May 29, 2017 | Updated: August 05, 2017

My kids are already out of school and already starting to ask what there is to do. What!? With all the fun craft supplies I have in my home, you’d think they had endless ideas of fun kids crafts and activities in the house. But sometimes just having supplies is not enough. We all need inspiration and usually we need some instruction to start with.  Kiwi Crate to the rescue! Kiwi Crate is a craft/activity box designed specific for kids. These Summer fun kids project boxes are perfect for hands on activities that the kids can create all by themselves!

Fun Kids Crafts and Activities

There are 4 box series to choose from, each designed a little different with creativity for kids in mind.

  • Kiwi Crate – hands on crafts supplies and activities for kids ages 5-8. My older kids still love these boxes, the skill level and instructions are designed for the younger kids, but the actibites are fun for everyone.

  • Doodle Crate – activities and supplies with an art and design focus designed for kids ages 9-16+. I’m excited to try this series for the first time when our order arrives.

  • Tinker Crate – supplies and instructions to create projects with an art theme, designed for kids ages 6-16+. We haven’t tried this series first hand yet either, but it’s in our order!

  • Koala Crate – Supplies and instructions designed for the youngest in the house. Kids ages 3-4. We have played with these creative projects and love them. These activities are designed for little hands to create, but I recommend adult help and supervision. You’ll have a blast creating with your little ones!

The boxes come with everything your kids need to create the activity. Often times there’s enough supplies for more than one project so I have my kids share and work together. As soon as my order comes in I’ll share what we got and show you the project fun!

One of my favorite things about the Kiwi Crate kids activity boxes… both of my kids love to create with them. The activities are engaging and challenging but simple enough to create in a day.

Fun projects with Kiwi Crate

I’ve tried all kinds of Kiwi Crate Projects. You can buy some of the activity boxes one at a time or you can subscribe to the monthly service. For this past summer, I signed up for Kiwi Crate, Doodle Crate and Tinker Crate so we could try more fun activities. Usually there are enough supplies in one box for 2 kids to participate in an activity. Sometimes a box will contain more than one activity and sometimes it’s a single activity but the kids enjoy working together. Below are some of the activities we’ve tried.

Today I ordered 3 monthly subscriptions because my kids love to create projects. I ordered a single subscription from each of Kiwi Crate, Doodle Crate and Tinker Crate. You can pick the crate you want to start with for each subscription too, so check out the shop if you’d like to pick your own box.
