Reasons You’ll Love Atlas Crate from KiwiCo

The Atlas Crate activity boxes from KiwiCo are kids activity kits with educational projects that will make you and your kids happy. I recently got my hands on one of the new Atlas Crate activity boxes and it’s fantastic!  I’ve always loved the KiwiCo line of products. They are engaging, easy to use, fun to create with made with high-quality materials. They are definitely worth the reasonable price.

The complimentary box I received for review is the Spinning Globe. This high-quality project kit included everything we needed to create a real, working, spinning globe, all in a kid-friendly format.

Atlas Crate is a subscription box. You can purchase a monthly, auto-renewing subscription (cancel anytime) or, choose from 3, 6 or 1-year subscriptions as well. Here is what I found in my Spinning Globe box… take a look at this quick video while we made the spinning globe.

Every box includes an activity with supporting materials to help engage and encourage your child to learn while having fun with activities they will love.

Always big happy Hello. Just like any other Kiwi Crate box, the Atlas Crate feels like a gift. When you first open the box, there is a literal Hello note introducing you to the activity and the crate concept.

All project materials are included. The Atlas Box includes one project and all the materials you need to make it. This box was for the Spinning Globe. The globe comes blank and you get to apply your own continents as felt stickers. There’s even a little felt sticker heart that you can place in your globe, wherever you’d like. Of course, we put it on Colorado (or close).

A note about the plastic globe. The globe sphere ships in the box as two separate pieces. They can be a little tricky to connect together as temperatures in shipping may cause the plastic to warp slightly. Don’t worry, the sphere does come together with a little focus. Once connected in place, the sphere stays put and holds its shape great!

Plenty of learning material. The Atlas Crate is focused on learning about the world through geography and culter. This first box is a perfect introduction to the subject as the activity is a globe you can hold and explore. In addition to the globe craft, there is a large folded world map and a booklet that talks about each continent that you can apply to the globe.

Fun Extras. Because just talking and learning about the geography and the world isn’t enough, this activity box also comes with a few extra goodies. There is the starter kit for a little booklet you can put together featuring different things the kids learned in this kit. There’s also an adorable souvenir pin button. So when the kids are finished crafting their globe, they can pin their new button on their backpack and take it with them on all their adventures!
