10 Reasons You’ll Love HP Instant Ink

Written by: | Published: July 23, 2016 | Updated: August 10, 2016

Remember that big project you had to print and right in the middle, you ran out of ink? 3am, showing up at the store in jammie pants and maybe matching shoes because the presentation is due in the morning and you just ran out of ink… remember that? I may or may not be able to relate. HP Instant Ink to the rescue!

Why we LOVE HP Instant Ink

10 Reasons You’ll Love HP Instant Ink

HP Instant Ink is a printer ink subscription program for HP printers. No more worrying about if you have ink before you run out with the benefits of saving money and time.  Here’s my top ten reasons you’re going to LOVE HP Instant Ink.

  1. Instant Ink is like a fairy godmother for your printer
In our house we call Instant ink the ink fairy. Ink just “magically” arrives at our door before we know we are running low on ink.
  2. Great savings
Subscriptions start at $2.99 a month which will cover 50 full color prints every month. At $4.99 a month, you’ll be able to print 100 full color prints. If you went to a print shop for full color photos, you’d pay at least $0.50 per print… that’s $50 for  100 prints. With HP Instant Ink you’ll save about $45 just in one month of printing!
  3. High quality ink for high quality prints
This isn’t some cheaper version of ink, this is high quality, HP ink auto shipped right to your door.

  4. Multiple price options
There are three service options you can sign up for. You can change your service level at any time.
  5. Works with a variety of HP printers
A variety of printers are HP Instant Ink Enabled. From small all-in-one printers like the HP Envy to larger small business printers like the HP OfficeJet Pro, there’s a printer that fits your needs that will work with Instant Ink. Just look for the Instant Ink icon. For now, Laser Printers are not included in the program.
  6. Auto Delivery
Once you sign up for Instant Ink and get your printer associated with your subscription, you don;t have to do anything else. Your printer will send a message to the ink distribution center when ink is close to running low. Then you’ll receive ink in the mail, generally before you need it.
  7. No long term contracts
HP Instant Ink is a monthly subscription service. You can choose to use the service for one month at a time.
  8. Change at any time
When you sign up, you can choose auto-renewal. You can also change your subscription plan at any time.
  9. Terrific customer service
If you need help with your subscription, there are a number of ways to contact customer service. I’ve had to call for help when I first signed up and the rep was super friendly. i was missing some ink… he checked my account and made some adjustments. I had ink at my door 2 days later!
  10. Buy additional ink any time
If you are printing more than than your usual amount, you can always buy ink at the store to accommodate your extra printing needs. Your subscription will remain the same.
