Easter Basket Ideas for College Students

For the last few years I have gone to World Market for my Easter Basket goodies. I love all their unique items and spring decor, but the fun trinkets, toys and candies are always my favorite. Whether you are looking for ideas for your college-aged kids, or you are a college student looking for ideas, World Market has some unique Easter goodies we love!

College students love treats, right? Nostalgic candies, cute toys and secret baskets full or Easter treats are always welcome. I don’t think you can go wrong picking favorite kid treats to gift, and World Market has plenty of them. I also think it’s fun to pick some things that a young adult would appreciate but not necessarily buy for themselves.

Little treats and decor pieces that can pretty up a dorm room are perfect for college kids. I picked a pile of ideas to get you started. I think most of these would be favored by the girls, although I know my son loves himself a bag of candy no matter how pink it is!

Start with a basket and decorate it with easter grass, decor accents and some raffia ribbon. If you choose a wire basket, line it with tissue paper before adding the grass. I chose a white wire basket so it could be used beyond Easter with any decor. I think the butterfly clips along with woven bunny Easter tags would be a beautiful accent to finish off the look of a pretty basket.

Things to add to your Easter basket

Fill the basket with fun and delicious treats. I’ve selected an array of goodies to help you get started.

Easter candies and treats

  • Hoppity Carmel Corn
  • Gummy Candy Sushi
  • Jones Easter Grape Soda
  • Easter Jordan Almonds

Easter Gifts Just for Fun

  • Live Green Ivy in Burlap
  • Cute and Fuzzy Easter wind up toys
  • Paper Mache Decorative eggs
  • Gold Dipped Egg Candles

Considering adding small Easter Decor items. You can include all kinds of little trinkets and Easter nicknacks for the perfect College Easter Basket.

Extra gift idea: Choose a decorative container such as a modern brass and glass terrarium or a pretty vase and fill it with Easter candies.

More Easter basket Options: To adapt this list for more guys or a more fun and silly basket, swap out the egg candles for fun War Head jellybeans. Replace the windup bunny and chick with a Clucky the Chicken, a funny stuffed chicken.
