Make a DIY ice cream t-shirt with your favorite ice cream flavors! I've designed a whole collection of cute ice cream flavor art designs you can choose from. Mix and match to create adorable custom Cricut projects for all your ice cream fans.  We love bubble gum ice cream… can you tell?

This ice cream t-shirt is quick and easy to make yourself. If you have a printer and a Cricut Explore machine, you're set!

Updated June 2022. When I originally created this ice cream art for Cricut (in 2016!), the machines were brand new. I wasn't creating vinyl projects, and sublimation wasn't a topic (especially not Infusible Ink!).

So, this original project was created using a printable iron-on t-shirt transfer and we loved how it turned out. I think it's still a fantastic way to make this t-shirt. (My cute model is in high school now!).

Now you have so many different choices when creating DIY t-shirts. I still like the look of this design as a single print image, so sublimation might be the way to go if you have the right equipment. Print and cut using your sublimation printer!

Or cut each design piece for the entire ice cream cone design using iron-on vinyl. That would be super cute too. Or what about using a patterned design Infusible Ink sheet?

How to Make Your Own Cute Ice Cream T-shirt

Choose the scoop “flavor” you like the most then flatten the entire art piece to heat set on to your new ice cream shirt!  You'll just need printable iron-on t-shirt transfer sheets (any brand will do.) Make sure change the design size to fit your t-shirt.

Make this cute ice cream t-shirt as a party favor for your next summer birthday party too.

Materials

Note: this shirt design would be perfect for sublimation too! Choose your favorite sublimation supplies to create your own.

Instructions

  1. Go to the Cricut Design Space canvas and follow the instructions to print and cut the t-shirt design on to iron-on transfer paper.
  2. Follow t-shirt transfer instructions to apply ice cream design to the t-shirt.

Tip: I like to cover the t-shirt transfer with parchment paper before ironing. This allows me to see the placement of the design while still protecting both the transfer paper and the iron while applying the design.

You can use this ice cream design for Cricut to make all kinds of fun ice cream DIY projects. Decorate tote bags, sneakers and even mini jewelry pieces. I've created some ice cream party pieces you can create too.
