Bloggers Filling Backpacks help kids get the supplies they need

Written by: | Published: August 08, 2012 | Updated: June 05, 2017

If you’re like 90% of the people I know right now, you’re getting ready to send the kids back-to-school. We’re fortunate to be able to provide our kids with all they need plus fun extras like new sparkly shoes or the latest character backpacks. However, not all kids have the luxury of having even the most basic of supplies for a successful year in school. Here’s where we can all help. The Boys and Girls Club is hosting a program to help with this need and I’m helping promote this cause with a fabulous group called Bloggers Filling Backpacks.

Let me give you the quick backstory… I recently connected with a community of bloggers called the Kids Blogging Network. They write about kid related topics such as school topics, craft projects and learning activities. One of the amazing women in this group immediately inspired me. Her name is Andie Jaye and she’s the owner of Crayon Freckles. She not only put together this group to help raise money toward supplies and resources for kids in need, she spent hours putting together an ebook filled with kids activities and projects donated by other bloggers in the group. The amount of time she has spent on this project in such a short period of time is simply amazing! Truly a passionate woman. Andie’s goal is to raise $500. If you help, we’ll get there that much quicker. I’ve seen communities raise far more for pink ribbons and boobs… So lets jump in and support some supply buying and books for kids in need.

Here’s the fun part

make a donation to help kids in need
= get an amazing kids activity ebook for your own kids

You can get this ebook, “Boredom-Buster Backpack: 50+ Activities to Keep Children Busy” when you donate at least $10 to the Boys and Girls Club campaign through the Bloggers Filling Backpacks fundraising page!

Everyone who makes a $10 (or more) donation will get the Boredom-Buster Backpack: 50+ Activities to Keep Children Busy ebook! The ebook is filled with amazing activities contributed by over 20 bloggers that will keep your children busy, learning, and having fun.

I donated $35 and I ask that you join me. $10 isn’t even a backpack full of supplies for 1 kid these days, but every $1 makes a difference. Do it!
