We are twins!

Don't mess with these Vikings…We've never dressed up the same, my hubby and I, but this year for Halloween I made costumes so we could appear to be a real couple. It was a lot of fun to go as a pair instead of random whatevers. I love the movie “How to train a dragon” so that's the inspiration for the viking outfits. I know… animated kids movie.. but so?

Viking costumes for a couple

It's not the best quality photo, but it's the best out of at least 10… you can only ask so much of a kid trying to take a picture in the dark. I am very proud of myself and this creation… The helmets are paper mache, clay and aluminum foil that have been painted and fabric/fur added. The rest of the outfits are a combination of fur, an old blanket dyed and cut and various molded and painted pieces and parts. A little bit of thrift, a little bit of creativity and a huge rush. I started making these Friday night for a party on Saturday… eeek!

Have you ever done the dress up as a real couple thing?
