Personalize Water Bottles with Disney and Cricut

Written by: | Published: May 09, 2015 | Updated: August 08, 2023

Did you know that the Cricut Design Space has a huge selection of Disney cut files? I love using my own cut files, yes. However, sometimes the creative moment calls for something else and today I’m going to show you how to make your own personalized Disney water bottles.

You can do so many fun things with this vinyl and Disney designs in the Cricut Design Space. You can even add names or quotes if you’d like. I kept this project simple.

I wanted to make something special for our Walt Disney World trip before we went so we could save some time and money later when the kids were surrounded by Disney swag in Orlando.

What you need:

  • Plastic water bottles
  • Cricut Machine
  • Gold Vinyl from Cricut
  • Cricut Design Space
  • Mickey Ears cutting file

To personalize water bottles

  1. Go to Cricut Design Space and start a new project. Add the Mickey ears cut file. I’ve set up a project you can start with here.
  2. Set the size you’d like for your water bottles. Click Go and then set the quantity you want to cut. Depending on the size of your vinyl sheet, make sure to arrange the cut designs on the virtual cutting mat to fit.
  3. Once you’ve cut the shapes, carefully remove one with your weeding tool and apply to a clean water bottle. My bottles have a slightly skewed curve to them, the top is wider than the bottom. So it was a little tricky to place the vinyl. You can move it around a little if you’re careful not to press to hard when applying the vinyl to the surface.
  4. That’s it! Add additional accents or words however you’d like. Choose a different vinyl color for every bottle or, like I did, make all the cuts the same.

Once you’re finished, your kids will think you are so cool for making such fun accessories for them… they might even be able to be bribed to take a happy photo for you!

Fingernail polish? Yes, I see it. We are a casual family. We can only focus on one fun creation at a time. Painting the nails for the Disney trip will come next… hopefully!

How will you personalize your own accessories? I hope you have fun making your own Disney water bottles!

MORE Disney? Yes there is… If you want to create even MORE fun projects with your Cricut and Disney.
