Use one color or create with all the Mayka tape colors. The tape can be cut and combined to make small building platforms or large space creations. The tape is super flexible and easily bends around curves so you can add building blocks to all kind of spaces.

How to create this Easter Basket look

You can use the Mayka tape for all kinds of projects, Here I’ll show you how to make this Easter basket.

Materials

  • Pink, Light Green and Light Blue 2 stud Mayka tape colors
  • Small Wood Easter Basket
  • Your favorite building blocks

Surfaces to use with your Mayka Tape

I’ve used Mayka tape on a variety of surfaces. It sticks well to all kinds of finishes, however, I’ve found it sticks best to non-shiny/slick surfaces. The adhesive is also designed to be removable, so super tight rounded corners or cylinders are a little tougher to stick to. In this case, I just use a dab of hot glue or double-sided tape.

Instructions

  • Choose the colors of tape you’d like to use and recut any pieces that need to be measured out before you stick them in place.
  • Remove backing from the tape and apply the tape to the desired surface. Press in place to ensure the tape is staying where you want it to.
  • Decorate with your favorite building blocks. (I Used a variety of LEGO Friends and LEGO Easter specific

Tip for removing the tape backing: I have found scissors work best. Place the tip of the scissors at about a 45-degree angle, gently press up toward the end of the tape. See photo below. I’ll try to add a mini video to show you too.
