Make cute girls clothing with Fashion Playtes plus Groupon deal

Written by: | Published: November 28, 2011 | Updated: June 05, 2017

I was invited to try out Fashion Playtes, a sort of online fashion design studio for girls. I had a ton of fun creating a custom skirt with my daughter and checking out the entire site. Girls can get creative, design their own clothing style, create a virtual “home” where they can save their clothing creations and they can even purchase the real, tangible clothes. It’s super cute, fun and the prices are great!

We picked a skirt to create because my daughter is tall for her size and I wasn’t sure how the pants would fit. We played with all the different trim, add-ons and accessories. We finally settled for a pretty aqua blue drawstring skirt that included a brown floral front pocket and coordinating ruffle trim. Depending on how much you want to add (and how much you want to spend) you can add all kinds of layers of trim, lace and even little designs.

We also made a model and decorated her room inside the Fashion Playtes account. The coolest part, other than the purchase of the actual skirt, this is all FREE! We can design as many outfits as we like, decorate the room and make more models. It’s a neat play space for young girls.

We haven’t made much other than our original skirt, but we had so much fun creating together. Girls can decorate their style book with all their fabulous creations and even add digital doodles and stickers to personalize the virtual book.
