4. Amazing Views
This kind of goes without being said when you consider the beaches are amazing. However, not every view is of the beach, yet ever view is beautiful. There are a number of pools and mini themed”villages throughout the resort and each is full of things to see. There are stunning gardens, beautifully maintained grounds and fantastic furnishings inside and out.
There were so many pretty photo opps I had to remind myself I was supposed to be relaxing and put my camera away! I went on a fun tour with one of the head grounds keepers. I have a whole pile of beautiful plant photos I will share later. I wish I had taken notes, I learned so much about all the foliage around the resort!
5. Delicious Food
Food! I’m a foodie at heart. I love to try new food and I especially love to see the artistry and creativity in pretty food. There is no shortage of food options. Any kind of flavor you are looking for, there is probably an option available. There are sit down service restaurants, quick serve options and daily buffets. We tried to explore all the restaurants but there were a few we didn’t make it to. That just leaves more to try next time, right? Oh my goodness.. I could spend days just eating!
6. Pools to Relax
There were three main pools, each with a different setting vibe. There’s also a giant pool area with huge water slides and a lazy river. You’ll find the families mostly hanging out in this last area… lazy rivers are my favorite so you’ll likely find me there most of the time too. My husband and I each grabbed an inner tube, grab hold of each other’s handle and floated for a few hours. I tried to grab a video of going down the slide… that did not work out well, sorry! A few of the pools even have swim up bars, you don’t even have to get out to get a drink!
7. Fun Nightlife
Oh my goodness, every night we did something fun! There’s a fun night club to go dancing. We watched an amazing dance performance by a Michael Jackson impersonator. The 80s live in Turks and Caicos!
Another night we went out for ice cream with a group of friends.. remember the cookie diner? They have ice cream too! One of the nights we attended a family dance party and joined in on the conga line, that was super cool! There was even a karaoke event.. I don’t even fake sing, so this one we missed but I heard fabulous stories from some of our friends.
8. Kids Activities
As I mentioned, for this trip, I did not bring my kids. I wish I had, I KNOW they would LOVE it! There were to many fantastic areas to plan, activities planned and plenty of opportunities for everyone to enjoy time together or alone. I think you could bring the whole family and even mom would get to relax! The resort hosts the nearly the entire Sesame Street gang. You’ll see the characters walking around different areas of the resort.
There are kids activities with the characters and I even got to hug Super Grover! One of our favorite finds what a giant lawn chair in one of the play areas labeled as Big Bird’s Chair. Of course we had to both sit in it and show our kids when we face-timed them! Many times throughout the trip I saw happy kids playing together as part of the kids program and a few times I also snapped shots of a little train that drove around the property (so darn cute!). This is a perfect family vacation location!
9. Customer Service
The staff is amazing! There were a number of times I found staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy and taken care of. I’m not a complainer and I rarely request things out of the norm. Yet, I found the staff would help even when I didn’t ask. We were even given fresh, just moments ago, cut coconuts and straw to drink the water because we were hanging out with a garden pro. YUM! I have so many great stories about the staff, I’d love to live here and make friends with all of them… However, I’ll share just one story with you today.
The phone and water experiment – a true story
For this trip I had purchased a new Otterbox case for my phone. I wanted the waterproof aspect of this case so I could try taking pictures underwater (more on that later). When you buy this case, there are clear instructions about testing that it’s working properly before using it in the water for long periods of time. I realized this while at lunch so was trying to figure out how I can test my new case. I tried to dip the phone in my water glass (I know, not the best table manners that day) and our server came over to ask what I was doing. After telling him what we were up to, he quickly left and returned with a pitcher of water and asked if that work for my experiment. HA! I had to leave the phone in the water for I think 15 minutes or so… and by the time I was finished.. there are at least 3 staff members interested in the outcome of the phone results. Best lunch ever!
10. Giving back to the Caribbean community
One of the best things to love about Sandals Resorts (and all the Beaches locations), regardless of location, is the Sandals Foundation.
The Sandals Foundation seeks to help fulfill the promise of the Caribbean community through investment in sustainable projects in education; environment and community which improve people’s lives and preserve our natural surroundings.
This is the philanthropic arm of Sandals Resorts International (Sandals and Beaches resorts). The amount of community involvement and support is amazing and inspiring. The Sandals Foundation is helping the families, schools and environment in the communities that their resorts are located. And all of this is All-Inclusive! That includes tip. Show up with your swimsuit and sunglasses and don’t pull out a wallet until you need a snack at the airport on the way home! There are activities you can do for an extra fee such as visit the spa or take a day tour to the coral reef. But you will have an amazing vacation with all the things that come includes in the all-inclusive package.

Check google flights for some airfare deals, grab your passport and your swimsuit… I know you need a vacation!
