Note to readers: I’ve read comments regarding the specific gender themes I’ve created. The intention was not to say one set is for a specific gender, but more to describe the theme of the shapes. I’m a mom of both boys and a girl and they would all play with each of these sets – princess riding in a big pick up truck and cowboys waving wands are not uncommon in my home. Sometimes we might look for a certain theme of shapes for a lesson, party or activity we are planning with our kids. If there are other shapes you wish were included, I’d love to hear about it! Use what you like and pretend however the fun leads you! I appreciate the feedback!

Shadow puppets are a fun DIY activity you can make with your kids or let them make on their own. draw your own designs on the non-printed side of each piece to create puppets for everyday play too. You don’t have to stop at shadow puppets with these printable playsets. You can also use them to make paper dolls, felt board story pieces or use in craft projects. I’d love to hear what you make!

  1. Thank you so much for these! I am doing a summer week of Color and Light and was looking for some fun but easy shadow puppet shapes. These were perfect! Some really easy to cut for the younger ones and some more difficult for the older ones with a great variety of choices.
