Revolution a potential new favorite for prime time TV

Written by: | Published: September 15, 2012 | Updated: June 05, 2017

Have you seen Revolution yet? It’s a new series on NBC with a storyline that follows life after the end of everything technology based. There’s a full episode “sneak peak” pilot available on the Revolution TV series website.I watched it last week and loved it. There’s a steampunk feel, rebels and post war-like survival yet there’s something intreguing about it. There’s entirely more battling and good guys vs bad than I had envisioned with the trailers and previews, but I found myself completely focused on the show wondering what would happen next.

Our entire way of life depends on electricity. So what would happen if it just stopped working?

Well, one day, like a switch turned off, the world is suddenly thrust back into the dark ages. Planes fall from the sky, hospitals shut down, and communication is impossible. And without any modern technology, who can tell us why?”

There was so much action and excitement, twists and turns in the pilot of the show, I’m wondering how long the writers can keep us interested and involved. Did you see the pilot or any of the previews for Revolution? I’d love to hear what your take is. I like that it’s not another crime show or another paranormal or some ridiculous, bazaar character pseudo comedy. It’s gritty and earthy and full of human instinct/nature type situations. Although it doesn’t seem real enough to be a “I could see myself there” it’s different enough to want to watch more. Very primal instinct with intelligent twists, I think that would be a good way to describe. However, the best option is for you to watch it yourself and see what you think.

Here’s a trailer for Revolution you check out:

Revolution airs on NBC on September 17th (that’s this coming Monday). Check it out and come back by to tell me what you thought!
