Have you heard of CarMax? CarMax is a no-haggle, used car retailer with two locations in Denver. For a few years now, my husband and I have been playing with the idea of adding another car to the family. We have 3 drivers and two cars. So, we’ve been debating whether we continue to share or add the extra vehicle. When I was asked to talk about CarMax, it gave my husband and myself another opportunity to revisit the car topic. I’ve heard of CarMax, I’ve seen the commercials recently advertised on TV here in Denver, but I’ve never been… we have yet to officially start our car shopping.
I was hoping to visit the store location myself so I could share my first-hand experience with you but the holiday season schedule won that time challenge. However, I’ve learned some great things about CarMax that I think you’ll like too.
CarMax strives to offer low, no-haggle prices, a broad selection, high quality vehicles and a customer-friendly sales process. For 20 years CarMax, America’s #1 used car retailer in Denver, has offered low, upfront prices.
You can find CarMax at two locations in Denver, both of which have been open for 2 years (5850 South Broadway Littleton and 2600 W. 104th Ave. Federal Heights).
CarMax has over 35,000 used cars in the nationwide inventory. The sales Colorado consultants receive the same commission for any car you buy, no matter the price. If you’re looking for what you can get for your trade-in, you can get a free appraisal in as little as 30 minutes. Also, CarMax will buy your car even if you don’t buy their’s. They will transfer any used all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive vehicle to Denver for free, with no commitment to buy.
Car Buying wish list
So if I were buying a car today, and if I were trading in my own car, here’s what the swap might look like…
My car – yes, it is December and I am one of those car decorating gals. That’s garland with lights next to that snowboard trip topper! And no, we don’t wash our cars in the winter in Colorado… unless we don’t really drive anywhere. We are a driving family – our cars get dirty!
There’s not a lot of cars that could replace this one – I love my grocery getter mom car. But, if I were to trade it in, I think I’d go with something like this….
And a close up incase you aren’t drooling yet…
I think my husband would fall over if this Mustang was sitting in the driveway in my usual spot! Ford lovin’ family and CarMax still has us covered! While I was browsing the CarMax website, looking at all the options of cars, I spotted this one and my 12 year old was so excited – NICE CAR MOM! The website is super easy to use, this one listing had 37 photos… exterior and interior. Car shopping from your couch? Yes Please!
So to all my local Denver pals, the next time you’re looking at buying a car, for whatever reason, I think it would be worth your while to give CarMax a try. Have you been car shopping lately?
