Winter view

I original took this photo a couple days ago with the intent to share because I was thinking the weather outside was not helping inspire any kind of creativity. It was cold and foggy and on the verge of snowing. Right before Christmas, snow is great, but I just wasn't feeling it, I wanted a sunny day to get me going. Then when I downloaded the picture to share I realized how pretty it really is.

Looking at this photo reminded me that sometimes we get grooving with our to do list, our set ideas of schedule and how we want things, yet if we would stop and really notice for a moment, we might discover something even better. I know I get caught up in getting things “just right”, I forget that sometimes things are already fantastic. Slowing down and taking a look around can often times prove to be very rewarding and even inspiring.

  1. I was feeling that way too about the snow – it messed my whole day up – but it sure was pretty to look at! I think it’s God’s way of getting us to slow down. And we all need to slow down this time of year. 🙂
