Pretty as a Peacock Ink Colors from Clearsnap and Ann Butler

Create pretty color blends with Clearsnap ink

You can use a sponge to blend the ink colors. I usually have a pile of make up sponges near by so I can use a different sponge for each color. Again, dab on color, blend as you go, until you have the look you want. (yes, my nail polish needed some work… focus on the art people, not my cheap and lazy manicure.

Once you have the color coverage you want, heat set the ink. You can either use an iron, or carefully use a heat gun. I think the iron is easier… there is less chance of burning anything. However, if you are comfortable with a heat gun and know how to use one without burning down the house, go for it!

Finally, add some artistic touches. I like to doodle – you knew that, right? So, I used a fine point permanent pen to draw on top of the fabric. I also added my own illustration to the other side of the iphone case by first applying letters using Ann's cool decorative stamps. I then used my pen and again drew to add more dimension and my own personal touch. You can freehand your art or using stamps to add a neat look to your work.
