Lalaloopsy Inspired Mini Party Banner DIY with Ann Butler Stamps

Written by: | Published: May 03, 2013 | Updated: June 05, 2017

My friend Ann Butler is promoting a brand new line of craft stamps and she’s asked all her crafty pals to get creative with them. The stamps are cute little quilt inspired patterns you can mix and match to use in your own project designs. They’re so cute and small my first thought was something fun for the dolls. Actually my first thought was to make a greeting card with a pennant banner, but I decided to make something more fun than a card… So grab your pretty party inks and let’s get making a fun party banner!

How to make a mini party banner using Ann Butler’s Faux Quilting stamps

  1. Lay stamps out in sets on the stamp block. Mix and match patterns however you like.
  2. Using the stylus, blot ink color on stamps. Print stamps on white paper.
  3. Heat set ink.
  4. Apply Xyron adhesive – I used a 9″ Creative Station. If you don’t have a Xyron machine, skip this step.
  5. Cut out stamped art into pennant shapes. Apply to colored paper. If you don’t have a Xyron machine, use another adhesive here. Trim to size.
  6. Layer with a second colored paper, trim to size and punch holes in upper corner. You can adhere these papers together if you’d like, I did not.
  7. String embroidery thread through pennant holes.
  8. Thread buttons with embroidery thread, tie a knot and trim. Adhere to individual pennants.

Ready. Set. Go hang it up however you’d like!
