Making your own iphone decal is SUPER easy with a Cricut and vinyl. Now what if I told you, you could not only make this cool iPhone decal, but you can make it WITH your iPhone?

Oh yes! Cricut has come out with an iPhone app that will allow you to design Cricut projects on the go, all you need is an iPhone and active cell service. (Android friends, your app is coming, hold tight, you will love it!). Check this out, just head to the Apple store and download the app, it’s Free. You can access your account, start new projects, edit current projects, browse the make-it-now projects and search for images in the image library. It’s the coolest app EVER!

Make iPhone decals

You can make this iPhone decal in a whole variety of colors. Use glitter vinyl, print your own colors with printable vinyl or use your favorite vinyl color. I’m excited to see how YOU personalize your phone for a look you love!

Materials you need:

  • Cricut Explore cutting machine
  • Floral iPhone decal design by Jen Goode (Cricut Image #M4FCE3A)
  • Cricut Design Space – on your desktop, laptop, tablet or the new Cricut iPhone App!
  • Vinyl – I used hot pink and purple vinyl to decorate a light blue iPhone 5c.
  • Transfer tape – you don’t NEED it, but it sure does make the project easier
  • Weeding tool

Steps to make this iPhone decal:

  1. Go to the Make-it-Now project in the Cricut Design Space
  2. Follow the onscreen instructions to cut the art
  3. Weed out all the excess vinyl.
  4. Use the transfer tape to pick up the entire vinyl piece as it’s been cut. Then rub the design on to the iPhone case.

Tip: I found it’s super helpful to use the handle end of the weeding tool to rub the vinyl on and rub out excess air bubbles.

Head over the Cricut to Make-It-Now!

Inside secret, I had to bribe my son to use his phone for this project. I have an iPhone 5S. I created the floral decal in metallic vinyl and I really loved how it looked. But it’s really hard to show how beautiful it is… so I needed something brighter with more color. So, plan B using my son’s iPhoneC in light blue was the answer. He was such a good sport, letting me put all these girly flowers all over his phone!
