REESE’S White Chocolate Popcorn Snack

Written by: | Published: April 02, 2014 | Updated: February 21, 2017

Last week I showed you how to turn our favorite candies into art, making little decorated Easter eggs. Today we’re going to talk about eating, not painting. Did you know, if you melt these yummy white chocolate REESE’s candies with butter, they make an amazing topping for popcorn? Oh Yes they do, SO delicious!

This is so easy to make and only takes about 5 minutes. Whether you make your own popcorn or you have a bag ready to go, you’re going to want to add this yummy topping – unless of course you don’t like peanut butter. In that case, I have nothing left to say… except I’m sorry.

Here’s how you make white chocolate peanut butter topping:

  1. Chop 1 REESE’S white chocolate egg candy.
  2. Melt with 1 table spoon of butter in the microwave for 35 seconds. Stir and repeat until the mixture is thoroughly melted. It will be a sauce consistency that you can easily drizzle on the popcorn with a spoon or fork. Be careful not to overcook or you’ll end up with a paste you can’t do anything with.

Add extra yummy flavors!

You can also crush your other favorite candies and sprinkle into the mix. Above I added little bits of crushed chocolate. Below I have HERSHEY’S mini eggs and malted milk eggs that I crushed by gently pressing candies with a glass. (I tried a food processor.. that’s not a good idea!).
