Quick Garden Label Mini Flags

Written by: | Published: March 31, 2014 | Updated: March 31, 2014

We’re starting to plant this year’s garden. I’m hoping to grow some vegetables and herbs along with my favorite flowers. With so many different plants, and growing from seeds, I need to label everything to keep track. We can definitely make some pretty, fancy garden labels but for today I’m just whipping out some quick little flags before I forget what is in all the pots I’m planting. So today I’ll show you how to make these garden flags too.

How to make your own mini garden label flags

  1. Cut duct tape into long thing strips. I cut a piece of tape about 4″ long and then cut it into 3 strips.
  2. Wrap one strip of tape around the top of the tooth pick, adhering the tape to itself.
  3. Using the permanent marker, write whatever label you need.
  4. That’s it. Place the labels in all your pots.
