Make your own fabulous DIY Mother’s Day Cards. I’ll show you some of my favorite Mother’s Day Cards you can make your Cricut.  Cricut projects are the best for creating personalized cards for Mom.

I’m sharing some tips and techniques you can use to personalize your card-making. You don’t need a ton of supplies to customize the look or coordinate with Mom’s favorite colors and style.

Mother’s Day Card Ideas to Make with Your Cricut

There are a ton of Mother’s Day card ideas you can make with your Cricut Machine. Just log into Design Space and you’ll find a really nice selection of cards you can make. You can customize the cards to make them uniquely your own or assemble the cards just the way they’ve been designed.

I love browsing all the card ideas, there are so many different styles and pretty cuts to choose from. Of course, I’m a bit biased and love my own card designs best! Grab a few different card cut sets and you can mix and match to make your own fun layouts.

I used my own pretty watercolor cards as background cards for some of these Mother’s Day cards too. Get creative, there are so many fun things you can to… experiment, mix and match, have fun! Mom will love that you created a handmade card for her.

Fun side idea – if you’re looking for a great gift idea, maybe Mom would love a Cricut too

As you’re making all your Mother’s Day card, keep in mind, you can also make more than one Mother’s Day card from the same Cricut project file. Just change the color or the message and you’ll have yourself a new card in minutes!

Customizing Mother’s Day Cards with Cricut Design Space

It’s so easy to customize ready-made Make it Now projects in Design Space. The finished projects you see in the Design Space library are ideas you can create, but usually, you can personalize the color, size and oftentimes, the text.

Take a look at all the components in a project, play with the flatten and unflatten options and experiment with new text ideas. You can even bring in additional images to add to a Make-it-Now project… the options are truly unlimited. Customize your Cricut projects however you’d like!

Take a look at this Mother’s Day card I created.

Here’s a screenshot showing 3 ways I’ve customized this card. Add new text, change cut layers to print-then-cut images, change the colors… there are so many ways you can customize your Mother’s Day cards!

The quickest way to make a card using your Cricut and Design Space is the Print then Cut option. Choose your colors for each piece of the card, set to print and then flatten everything into a single image.

The card will print and then your Cricut can cut out the single image.. voila! The longest part is designing these cards, but if you choose a pre-designed card from design space, you just need to customize the look. Easy Peazy, right?

If you have more time or are feeling crafty, take the time to create a card with cut pieces and drawn accents. You choose how you want to put together your card. Pick the papers you want to use, and finish the card off with some pretty embellishments like gems, glitter or handmade accents.
