Jewelry Craft Projects to Try

No matter your skill set, there are definitely jewelry craft projects you can make. If you’ve never made a single piece of jewelry, start with something simple like braided leather bracelets or a clay pendant you make using a jewelry mold and paint.

If you love working on small projects, grab some needle-nose pliers and start playing with some wire and beads. You can start working on jewelry crafts with just a few supplies for very little cost or you can go all out and buy the top-of-the-line tools and genuine rhinestones and hand-crafted stones. What are you going to create?

Here are just a few ideas of jewelry crafts you can create yourself – Tutorials included!

Did you know you can make earrings with your Cricut machine? Use the deep-cut blade to cut faux leather (or the craft knife to cut real leather) and make a wide variety of earings. This pair is one of a set of earings I’ve designed as an SVG bundle.

I think it’s absolutely fabulous to combine materials and colors to showcase your style. I will never (probably not) be a fantastic jewelry designer. Handmade jewelry, even when the main design is flat, doesn’t have to remain 3 dimensional. Add other embellishments to create a few new looks and add some sparkle. These leather earrings were created with a layer of iron-on vinyl and embellished with stitched beads. Take a look at the full earring tutorial here.
