I’m a sucker for sappy

I cry at movies all the time. Heck, I even cry at some TV shows. I’ve even been known to cry at books (usually when listening moreso than reading). I’m not a girlie girl and I’m not all that sappy myself, but for some reason my tearducts are extra sensitive to these sappy bits of entertainment. Not only do I know I’ll need tissue, I re-watch these flicks over and over again.

I think this is when someone needs to invent the sleeve with the build in tissue pocket in the cuff. Then the digging for the tissue can be avoided and the inadvertently swiping one’s nose on their sleeve can be avoided as well.

Ten of my favorite cry-able movies (not in any particular order)

1. My Sister’s Keeper

2. Up

3. Forrest Gump

4. Mulan

5. You’ve Got Mail

6. The Proposal

7. The Princess Bride

8. Can’t Buy Me Love

9. The Pursuit of Happiness

10. Serendipity

My family was of no help with this, they laughingly reminded me I cry at everything.

Ghawl! It’s tough being an emotionally sensitive girl.

Don’t feel bad.. Guys can be that way too but the manly version is to get a tad choked up.. And even then getting us to fess up to it might take some doing.. :p

Ghost and Pay It Forward were the first two that came to mind when I started reading your blog post..

Oh I cry at everything too! I cry during commercials. I swear it’s the music. :-)

The worst crying jag ever during a film was watching The Notebook. OMG – I was on a date with a man who didn’t know me all that well. Sobbed like a baby. I was mortified LOL
