I know it sounds early, but I just sat down last night with the family to organize thoughts and the “to do” list for the upcoming holiday season. Between hosting events, celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and the traditional Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, our days are packed through to the end of January starting next weekend. I love this time of year, but if I don’t start organizing now, it could get ugly… and that defeats what I love about it.

I am challenging myself to design a new holiday door decoration for the front of our house. We always have a traditional wreath but this year the colors of our house have changed. Repainted the outside of house shade of light yellow with white trim and black shutters. Here is the challenge–use something other than a round wreath and instead of traditional red/green/gold color ribbon another color bringing in the front door which is now a pretty shade of rose color. Not a pastel but deeper shade of rose. My thoughts are using white iceskates with greens or a large half basket or even painting some small wooden skis X with ribbon and greens in center. I love these challenges. Any advice? Happy Thanksgiving from New Hampshire.
Love the vintage art
I am making St. Lucy crowns with my little girls’ club at church. Really need to find some holly leaves die cuts otherwise I’ll be cutting out a whole lot of them by hand.
I would like to make the easy glittery snowballs. Those would be alot of fun to make with my daughter and the grandkids.
I am also going to try to attempt some Christmas pins. I like the look of old pins and would like to make maybe a Christmas tree. We also usually do glitter on pinecones each year, which the little ones enjoy and decorated paper chains.
Popmpoms with holiday colors is something I bought yarn for to make with the kids also.
I love doing crafts with my grandson & making ornaments for the Christmas tree!

We havent been home the last two years at Christmas and this year we will. So my plan is decorate the whole house this year. I have missed decorating since we were gone. I have been on the hunt for crafts for my daughter and I to do to add to our decorations. Cant wait!
We are going to make a snowflake tree. We came up with the idea after making snowflakes in our classroom. I teach first graders and a lot of them have never seen snow so I showed them how to make their very own snowflakes. One student wondered if you could make a whole tree out of snowflakes so I decided why not? It is going to be so much fun and I admit that I am still trying to figure out how to do it.
